Michelle Erin Hurt oversees all operations in Exploring Learning for Life, Cub Scout After School, and Boy Scout Outreach.
Michelle started her career at the Council in 2008 as an intern and as a paraprofessional with the Learning for Life area. In 2009 she joined us full-time with the Program Team as the Activities Director for the Council. During that time Michelle worked on enhancing what area organizations could provide our Scouts. This work lead into the first publication of the Activity Guide. She also lead our membership recruiting campaigns.
Since 2010 Michelle had been the Learning for Life District Director. She managed the Exploring program and the Learning for Life after-school groups. Michelle has recently taken over giving leadership to our Outreach area in North and South Omaha.
Michelle graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2008 with a Certification in Public Relations and Advertising and a minor in art studio. She lives in Omaha with her husband Adam, son Jayden and daughter Mila. She enjoys photography, traveling, chocolate and long weekends with her family.
