With Fremont schools back in session, local Cub Scout packs are starting to ramp up their programs as well. Before the packs dive into the activities they have planned for the year, they want to give other boys a chance to join Cub Scouts.
To help with this recruitment effort, sign-up nights have been planned for each of the schools. Recruitment nights are scheduled at the following times: Bell Field Elementary, 6-7 p.m., today; Linden Elementary, 6-7 p.m., Tuesday; Washington Elementary, 6-7 p.m., Tuesday; Clarmar Elementary, 6-7 p.m., Aug. 29; Howard Elementary, 6-7 p.m., Aug. 29.
Cub Scouts is for boys who are either in the first through fifth grades or are ages 7 to 10. The Cub Scout program provides boys with opportunities for adventure and fellowships, helps boys develop interests and skills, is a positive place for boys to grow, and is fun.
