The Heartland University of Scouting & College of Commissioner Science 2012 is supplemental leader training at its best! It is designed to provide program ideas, resources and FUN for all Scouting volunteers. It is planned so that leaders may return year after year, earn degrees in their chosen fields and keep current on all that Scouting has to offer the youth in our communities.
The College of Commissioner Science is being held this year simultaneously with the Heartland University of Scouting. Three Councils (Mid-America, Cornhusker and Overland Trails) will be coming together to get this important level of training for Commissioners. You will move beyond Basic Training and get into the details of how you can do your job as a Commissioner better. Better Trained Commissioners results in better run units and the better the unit runs the more fun and better the experience for our youth. After all, isn't that why you are serving as a commissioner? Making sure the program is delivered so the youth we serve gets the most out of the program? Of course it is.
Move to the next level in your service as a Commissioner, get the training the Boys (and girls in the Venture/Exploring programs) deserve.

The College is advanced training for Commissioners. Courses are designed for you to learn new tactics to improve the job you do as a Unit Commissioner, Roundtable Commissioner, Asst. District Commissioner, District Commissioner, and Asst. Council Commissioners. |
