
It is the mission of the Mid-America Council, Boy Scouts of
America to serve others by helping to instill values in young
people and in other ways prepare them to make ethical choices
over their lifetime in achieving their full potential. The values we
strive to instill are based on those found in the Scout Oath and
Law.
To reinforce traditional family values through the delivery of
Scouting programs that will foster creativity, promote family
unity, inspire and motivate our Scouts to develop the skills
that will provide the foundation needed to become productive
citizens.
On my honor, I will do my best, to do
my duty, to God and my country and
to obey the Scout Law; To help other
people at all times; To keep myself
physically strong, mentally awake,
and morally straight.
A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind,
Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent
I promise to do my best, to do my
duty, to God and my country, to help
other people, and to obey the Law of
the Pack.
As a Venturer: I promise to do my
duty to God, and help strengthen
America; To help others, and to seek
truth, fairness and adventure in our
world.
