The Council Board of Trustees has designated an Ad Hoc Committee to do a full assessment of our all of our Council properties. This assessment will be data driven by usage, land assessments, population statistics, programming, and more. The goal is to find a property investment per camping night for each of our camps. They will also be conducting an asset management study of all structures.
The chairman of the committee is Denny Deters. Denny has recruited the following members to the team:
John Rickert, AIA FCSI CCS LEED® AP
Roger Wozny, P.E., FSAME, LEED® AP
John Phelps, Landowner & Farmer in SW Iowa
Troy Schmidtke, LEED AP, Project Manager
Jim Hughes, Realtor Specializing in land/rural sales
The Council Marketing Committee will also be assisting the team chaired by Corey Meyer, Managing Principal/CFO Bozell Interactive.
Luther Tankersly of the National BSA office will be advising the committee.
Lisa Russell will be the Mid-America Council advisor.
Beginning shortly, the committee will be going out to each camp to begin the asset evaluation – looking at all structures and properties.
