Below are a list of Commissioner worksheets and self-assessment forms. Please contact the Durham Scout Center at 402.431.9BSA (402.431.9272) if you have any questions.
The purpose is to recognize the important role of Commissioners’ and the critical
value they add to the Scouting organization and its programs.
Service Recognition
- New Commissioner – Once registered, new commissioners will receive a Mid-America Council nametag.
- After Completing Basic Training
And Assigned To A Unit(S) – Commissioners will be presented with a Mid-America Council Commissioner
neckerchief.
- Senior Commissioners – Commissioners with a minimum of three years of service will be presented with a Mid-America
Council Commissioner belt buckle.
- Distinguished Commissioners and Distinguished Assistant Commissioners – Commissioners with a minimum of five years and who
successfully complete the requirements, will be presented with the Distinguished Commissioner Award. (Mid-America Council
will provide knot and bolo tie…plaque not included).
Performance Recognition
- Performance Recognition – Commissioners that have a minimum of 60% of their assigned units earn quality unit status will
be presented with a Mid-America Council Commissioner bolo tie.
- Distinguished Performance Recognition – By invitation of the District
Commissioner, the commissioners that have successfully served their units will be invited to attend a special recognition function.
