Journey to Excellence
Prepared to do a Good Turn Scouting's "Journey to Excellence" is the BSA's new council performance recognition program designed to encourage and reward success and measure the performance of our units, districts, and councils. It is replacing the Centennial Quality Awards Program as a means of encouraging excellence in providing a quality program at all levels of the BSA. The Boy Scouts have collaborated with The Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, the American Red Cross and thousands of other community organizations, focusing the power of volunteerism on community issues.

Adopt-A-Lot Volunteers Needed
Habitat for Humanity needs volunteers to help maintain vacant lots. This is a great opportunity for Scouts who would like to help keep neighborhoods beautiful. When you join the Adopt-A-Lot program, your group agrees to clean-up a lot by removing litter, mowing the lawn, and trimming brush if needed. You can Adopt-A-Lot one time or for an entire season – it's up to you! The money you will help Habitat for Humanity save on lawn service will help build more homes for families in need. For more information or to become an Adopt-a-Lot volunteer, contact Justin Knapp at 402.457.5657 x 139 or jknapp@habitatomaha.org.
